Yoga Training and Experience

Tricia Miller yoga pose standing bow“Yoga is my passion in life! I love sharing the healing power of yoga with music, love and laughter…”

My introduction to yoga began in 1972 when I saw Lilias Folan of “ Lilias Yoga & You” on PBS. I was an impressionable 12 year old living a small town in the Appalachian mountains of WV. I was in awe of her grace, poise and beauty. While I was watching and practicing yoga with Lilias a seed of yoga was planted.

In 1981 I moved from the small WV valley to the big San Fernando Valley of LA where my true quest for yoga began. While living in LA I was introduced to the path of Bhakti Yoga (the path of devotion) and the teachings of Siddha Yoga.  I discovered Kirtan and a passion for East Indian music and the power of the Sanskrit language.

I moved to San Diego in 1982 to attend acupuncture college where I found the path of Kriya Yoga and the teachings of Parmahansa Yogananda and completed my first yoga teacher training. www.expandinglight.org One of my greatest gifts this lifetime was the opportunity to live in Encinitas, CA and enjoy a full immersion into all aspects of yoga.

I have been fortunate over the past 30 years to have practiced yoga with many amazing teachers. I sing praises of gratitude everyday for the gifts yoga brings to my life.
